2012-10-09Fixed #18153 -- Reverse OneToOne lookups on unsaved instances.Aymeric Augustin
Thanks David Hatch and Anssi Kääriäinen for their inputs.
2012-08-12[py3] Refactored __unicode__ to __str__.Aymeric Augustin
* Renamed the __unicode__ methods * Applied the python_2_unicode_compatible decorator * Removed the StrAndUnicode mix-in that is superseded by python_2_unicode_compatible * Kept the __unicode__ methods in classes that specifically test it under Python 2
2012-06-07Fixed #18269 -- Applied unicode_literals for Python 3 compatibility.Claude Paroz
Thanks Vinay Sajip for the support of his django3 branch and Jannis Leidel for the review.
2012-04-10Made the caching of related and reverse related objects consistent in ↵Aymeric Augustin
OneToOneFields. Fixed #13839. Refs #17439. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@17890 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2011-10-13Convert the remainder of the relative imports in the tests to be absolute ↵Alex Gaynor
imports. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@16981 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2011-03-03Updated test assertions that have been deprecated by the move to unittest2. ↵Russell Keith-Magee
In summary, this means: assert_ -> assertTrue assertEquals -> assertEqual failUnless -> assertTrue For full details, see http://www.voidspace.org.uk/python/articles/unittest2.shtml#deprecations git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@15728 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2010-09-28Migrated one_to_one_regress doctests. Thanks to Stephan Jaekel.Russell Keith-Magee

2009-06-15Fixed #9023 -- Corrected a problem where cached attribute values would cause ↵Russell Keith-Magee
a delete to cascade to a related object even when the relationship had been set to None. Thanks to TheShark for the report and test case, and to juriejan and Jacob for their work on the patch. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@11009 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2009-03-06Improved table join handling for comparisons against NULL.Malcolm Tredinnick
This fixes a broad class of bugs involving filters that look for missing related models and fields. Most of them don't seem to have been reported (the added tests cover the root cause). The exception is that this has also fixed #9868. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@9979 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2008-08-01Fixed #8070 -- Cache related objects passed to Model init as keyword ↵Gary Wilson Jr
arguments. Also: * Model init no longer performs a database query to refetch the related objects it is passed. * Model init now caches unsaved related objects correctly, too. (Previously, accessing the field would raise `DoesNotExist` error for `null=False` fields.) * Added tests for assigning `None` to `null=True` `ForeignKey` fields (refs #6886). git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@8185 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2008-06-05Fixed #6886: Tightened up ForeignKey and OneToOne field assignment. ↵Jacob Kaplan-Moss
Specifically: * Raise a ValueError if you try to assign the wrong type of object. * Raise a ValueError if you try to assign None to a field not specified with null=True. * Cache the set value at set time instead of just at lookup time. This is a slightly backwards-incompatible change; see BackwardsIncompatibleChanges for more details. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@7574 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2008-05-29Fixed #7173 -- Corrected the caching of objects in reverse OneToOne ↵Russell Keith-Magee
relationships. Thanks, Travis Terry. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@7561 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
2007-08-05Fixed #2101 -- Renamed `maxlength` argument to `max_length` for oldforms ↵Gary Wilson Jr
`FormField`s and db model `Field`s. This is fully backwards compatible at the moment since the legacy `maxlength` argument is still supported. Using `maxlength` will, however, issue a `PendingDeprecationWarning` when used. git-svn-id: http://code.djangoproject.com/svn/django/trunk@5803 bcc190cf-cafb-0310-a4f2-bffc1f526a37
